A stage II balt with some bolt on can deff. keep up with a stock Lightning.

 

Lightnings can be quick, they are not to be thought as slow in any way. You can be surprised what a few bolt ons can do with a bit of nitrous behind it as well on that truck.

they are quick.

supposedly they can hit 13.6 stock....up here stock ones are runnin low 14s.
beaten a few at the track.
its not impossible.

unless of course....your a pro paper racer.

 

A 4lb lower and a tune will get you in the 12s (12.9-12.7)

A 4lb lower, TB/Plenum, Ported Blower, and tune with DRs or slicks will get you in the lower 12s (12.4-12.2)

These times are done in a truck with the aerodynamics of a brick and weighing 4800.

FNFAST was the Lightning you saw a 93-95 or the 99-04? If it was the 93-95, those are very slow and take ALOT to get them you run well.

Hey my bro has a lightning he has a pully tune and a ported blower and ran a 12.4. and there is know way u raced to 150 those trucks max at 145 o and i can beat his truck.

Yea my first time at the drags i got lined up with an old little black ford truck, not knowing it was an old lightning. I got wasted to make a short stroy shorter.

 

Its simple. A cobalt can beat a lighting. Why does it have to end up a bitch fest. I run mid 13s with stage II and have beat many at the track. Then of course many have beat me. I have seen them things rung 11s, and I have seen them run 14s. What is the big deal, the guy is just happy he beat one and posted it. Jeez, give the guy a break.
