ss/sc vs. ssr

I was just leaving work and this guy that works at the same place I do left right ahead of me, and he was toying with me the whole way. It sounded good, and he got the ass-end to go sideways a couple times. We stopped at the light together and I told him it sounded awesome, and I asked him how much hp it had. He said 400...that it had the vette engine in it. I complimented that and told him he'd probably kick my ass then. In turn he told me that he thought my car seemed pretty quick, but he seemed like he was kinda saying that just to give me an ego boost, lol. I think he thought he would kick my ass.
Light turned green and my dumb ass was still trying to BS with him, so he got the jump on me. I eased into 1st then romped on it, got hardly no wheel spin. I caught him by 2nd gear and was just starting to pull on him, maybe had half a fender, and he let out and trailed behind for a while, then turned. I tried to be a good sport and give him a thumbs up or something, but he wouldn't have anything to do with me anymore, lol. Oh well.

I checked the specs on it when I got home, its got 390hp and 405 torque, and runs a 14.1 in the quarter.

think of it is as a trailblazer SS that weighs slighly less. They are suppose to run mid 13's. Perhaps he doesn't know how to drive? I've not seen anyone break lower then that personally with my own two eyes but I am sure someone will chime in and claim lord of SSR's with a reason why you should have really lost.

The LS2 motor is god

LS2 > Everyone else (SRT-4, SS/SC, Evo, STi, Mustangs) (According to some owners)

Actually, the SSR is the same weight as a TBSS, (both right around 4400lbs) and the SSR uses a lower ratio rear-end, so it should be slightly slower. They are quick, but not enough to beat up a modded, stage 2 - like cobalt when stock. There are a few supercharged ones down here though, gotta watch out for those.

I'm not gonna call BS cause I know those SSR's weigh as much as a battleship does!

Good kill! Next time don't be caught sleeping and it won't be so hard to own him.

Was he an older guy, like 99% of the guys I see drving them are like late 50s early 60s and in there mid-life crisis or something. LOL

I never liked the look of them and thought there were slow as hell, at least you raced the LS2 the first year or so they had the LS1 in them.

Yeah, he looked like he was about 55 or so...I never liked the looks of them either, and I think they cost around $45k brand new or something....hell no! lol

I didn't get caught sleeping too badly, he jumped me by maybe a car, so I really didn't have much catching up to do.

good kill.

I Personally can't stand those things. Everyone I see at work has broken door handles, leaky windown seals, and a roof that doesn't work half the time hahaha.
