SS/TC vs. 1st gen Audi TT 2.7 & turbo MKV Jetta

I was coming home from the gym the other day and I cruise by a nice red Audi TT 2.7. It has the Xenon headlights and looks nice. Didn't think they wanted to play so I'm just driving along... but still keeping an eye on them becasue they sped up and were just sitting with their front wheel even with my back one. Eventually, they hit it. By the time I shift down from 5th into 3rd, they're a car ahead. By the top of 3rd, my front wheel is even with their back one. Into 4th I go, into my rearview mirror they go. By the top of 4th I have a bit more than a bus length on them. We let off and they wouldn't come up to next to me. I wanted to give them a wave or thumbs up but they just stayed back there even when I slowed down to the speed limit. I usually do a few over...

Also, while coming home from the gym (different day) I'm driving along and this newer red 2.0 turbo Jetta pulls along side me. He hits it, gets a car length or so before I hit it. We get even and he lets off. So, he's sitting there with his front wheel by my driver's side back one. The road ahead merges to one lane so I know he's going to floor it. So I'm ready for him, already having downshifted to 3rd... Sure enough, he hits it, gets a half car on me and then I walk right by him. But I'm a nice guy, so I wave to him as I go by. I'm guessing he had at least a stage 1 tune on it, maybe a stage 2. It was also lowered, tinted windows... I used to have an 06 GLI. I traded that piece of problematic crap in on the Cobalt. So this kill felt really good. We come up to a 4 way stop sign and I'm going straight and he's turning right. He peels out as he goes around the turn.

My 09 is stock. Pretty soon I'm thinking a downpipe, intake, and a tune (maybe E85) will be put on.

I bought an AMS car from a guy who works there... my 97 actually. It fell apart pretty much right after I bought it. Cylinder bores were all hourglassed, pistons had scrapes down them, one piston skirt was ripped off, cam lobes were grooved and pitted... I don't think too highly of their work.

They are great cars and can go fast for cheap if done right. They get a bad rep from all the people modding them that don't know what they are doing.
