SS/TC VS modded jeep SRT8
I got some runs in with one of my friends with a jeep SRT8. His car had cold air intake, magnaflow catback, gutted cats, diablosport programmer, 180 degree t stat. My car has just a tune. His best time is 12.8 at 108
He would only go from a 50 roll unfortunetly but we lined up about 4 times and every single time he would hang in second then lose about a car in third. Then in 4th he hits a aerodynamic wall and just starts falling back and it ends up being like 3+ cars.
We also did a 25 for fun and he jumped off me like 3 cars in 1st and i got it down to being about dead even by the end of 4th.

sounds about right. 25mph is going to be a good rpm for an auto v8. I'm glad you guys varied your mph, each car is differnet and going from only 1 set mph roll, you are leaving 1 car at an advantage.

Well I don't like to make excuses but if you really want to know all my dyno numbers in my sig are on a mustang dyno and the ambient air temp when i ran was 94 degress + 88% humidity. If i put up the spec sheet for my vette those numbers are about 20whp down from what most people see on other vettes with the same setup. Thats one of the problems with mustang dynos there more accurate lol.

No not from a dig hell not even from a 25 roll. Its a truck have you ever heard of aerodynamics I didnt even start gaining ground til the speed got high seriously a 108 trap is not some ridiculous crazy trap that no tuned cobalt can ever compete with.
And the reason why they run 12's easy is because they can cut a 1.7 60' that has no bearing on a 50 mph roll. we went all the way up to 130 mph so even the 108 trap isn't that accurate because his aerodynamics will make his situation worse after 108 mph.

AWD = FAIL @ roll racing, i believe it.
its a heavier, bigger car, thats losing alot of power to its extra wheels.
even if it traps 108 stock, thats not impressive.. and STILL proves that a cobalt will pull harder from a roll.

Nice run. I believe it. No reason to listen to the doubters just cause trap speeds don't match up on paper. From a highway roll a lot of factors change, especially above 105 I'm sure the TC pulls better than the JEEP! Aeros make a HUGE difference at high speeds. My motorcycle gains 5 mph top speed when I switch from my touring shield to my summer sport shield.

What do you not understand about the fact that a 108 trap does not show how a car behaves after 108mph.
Obviously you have a hard time with this concept so ill make it easier for you
this video shows the aerodynamic effect of driving a massive brick over 100mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj6B7Kc2FnQ
that was in kph but for people that don't know it was 87mph to 150mph
Paticularly look at 160kph-210kph that is 100-130mph
It takes 10 seconds to go from 100-130mph
But even stock people have only taken 12.X seconds to go 0-110. aerodynamics.
Now look at this one it takes this jeep 12 seconds to go 0-100.
Then it takes another 11 second to go 100-130
You can actually see it hit a wall just past 100 hard
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZpFp...eature=related
And here 13 seconds to go 0-160kph or 0-100mph
and 12 seconds to go from 160kph-210kph 100-130mph
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wgUejOQInM
Obviously all cars slow down the faster you go but not like that you would have to be blind to not see the wall that this thing hits over 100+ I don't know how to explain it any easier than that. lol.
