My gm diler instelled stage 2 at only 4,000km on the car....so i have only 12,000mile warranty left on the whole car now not the nornal warranty?

when they instaled it i asked and they said it dose not affect warrany at all .....

 

It doesn't affect your regular Bumper to Bumper warranty... BUT the Stage 2 parts (Injectors, Belt, Pulley) are not under that bumper to bumper warranty. They have there own 12,000 mile warranty.

Thank you. As he said. GM PARTS are only warrantied for 12,000 miles, unless purchased at time of vehicle sale. And really the only way to prove that is to have them put on your purchase paperwork, so you can show it on your buyer's order.

Bojan is right. 100mph should be a third gear drop, and should probably hit the throttle during shift to get your RPM's up.

Well I don't know about the 350z's that much. Aperson at my work has a 350 and on the back it said Fairlady z I thought it was some corny decal someone put on ther . What does this Fair lady z version have on it more than stock?

It japan it's called a fairladyZ. If it's right hand drive it's a true fairladyz if not, it's just the oem jdm decal.

^ I agree. Without a turbo or supercharger there not that badass. For the price they should do more. Anyways, they are quicker from a roll then a dig verse a SS/SC. What I mean is, they have a better chance from a dig. Plus, I could care less what some people think is verrified as time slips. No stock 350Z is going to run low 13s out of the box.

i love all cars. i'm on alot of forums. if someone makes a post like that and i know there is proof i post it. Just like if someone in this thread posted a vid of him beating a Z. Not everyone runs into a good driver.

 

I'm not saying I disagree or agree w/ anything that's been said, but posted videos (or anything for that matter) on the net are not by any means proof. People can CLAIM that their car was stock or had certain mods, but, there is no way of knowing the truth about that particular car. All a video proves is that one person has a record of racing their car, nothing else. There is no way of knowing what mods they have or don't have on the car. It's just comical to me how people will say, "That's BS, show me a video and then I'll believe it." Why? If someone's willing to argue with you over who's car is faster, then they aren't going to have any problems lying to you. Sorry for the rant, I guess I'm just too much of a skeptic.

well i thouht i would just add to this thread instead of making my own....since its a similar topic.....i just raced a white seemingly stock 350z. not really sure of the year or trim but anyways the dude was messin around in traffic behind me and i saw him trying to catch up. so when i see he gets an opening i slow a bit and downshift into the sweet spot in second. as he gets close to me its pretty obvious that he isnt slowing down and was prolly planning on giving me a good ol fashioned fly by so i take off and run it all the way through second to the top of third.....nobody really gained or lost any ground he was a steady 1 or 2 cars back the whole way.

so in an attempt to get a real race outta this dude i stop at a yellow light i should have gone through. so the light goes green with him at a stop behind me i take off kinda hard but not an all out launch and he moves over into the lane next to me. again does not wait to square up and just takes off but this time i hit the throttle right when he gets to my front panel. i pull about half a car or so till the end of second......and as soon as i have to shift into third he started pulling back and slowly passes me as i make my way through third gear..........

it seemed to me that i would maybe have started to gain a lil ground if i would have run third gear all the way out and hit fourth but at this point we are just going insanely fast for the road we are on so i decide to back off and call it a day....not back for me being stock i guess but a loss none the less.
