Stage 2 vs. Stock

So today I met my buddy up and we did some rolls. I'm stage 2 he is stock. We both have K&N CAI and that is it for mods.

All races were from a roll..

First race:
40-100 )both in second) I jumped by about a car in second and pulled another half a car in third

Second Race:
40-120 (both in third) I pulled about 2 and a half cars

Third Race:
5-80 (first roll) I spun alot more than he did, I beat him by only about 1 and a half cars.

Does this seem normal for stage 2 vs. stock, or does he have a factory freak?

Seems right.

Get rid of that stock exhaust and free up some more ponies.

Is the exhaust the next "bang for your buck" after stage 2?

Sounds correct. Stage 2 is a nice upgrade but its not killer like some have made it out to be, but nonetheless a good upgrade. Yeah I would get an exhaust to get the most out of stage 2

It will certainly help out quite a bit. If you are just going to stay with stage 2 and bolt-ons, the GMPP catback is a good choice. If you plan on going after more power later, I would recommend getting at least a 2.5" catback.

And don't forget the header/dp. There is plenty to gain from getting rid of the stock setup.

I'd go with the Vibrant combo. Sounds great and awesome gains

ok good I was waiting for everyone to say I should have beat him by like 5 up to 100 and such. I wasnt certain myself. I think I am going to do a custom 2.5" catback this winter. Maybe get a resonator and get rid of the stock catalytic converter.

Custom is the way to go, pricewise.
