Long story short... Srt ride by showin off his BOV. I hop in my car as my friends say go get um. I chase guy down. Say: You wanna run that ****. Pull out to line up. Ran from 1st gear roll about 10-15mph no 3 beep just waited for him to jump a lil. Imediatly pulled him and kept infront till about 125mph he pulled ahead of me between 115 and 120mph. Pulled off ahead to talk. The guy got out and said man that thing is quick what do you have done i told hime catback n didnt mention the Airbox mod since its nothin big ya know. I said what you have done he said stage 1 an i said you mind popin your hood so i can see what under it he said sure no problem. So i poped mine cause he wanted to look aslo. He ended up having a Catback exhaust, Agp BOV. Upgraded front mout, CAI, Boostccontroller runnin 15psi. and MSD ignition. and a shift light set at 5900rpm. I ended up knowing the guy from middle school and his friend in the car also.

I dunno what do yall think. I also beat a stock SRt4 the other night from a 2nd gear roll and a couple 3rd gear rolls. put about a 1/2 to a full carlength on him. Might i have one ogf the higher dyno'ing Cobalts? Like i said in the title i only have a custome catback to a magnaflow muffler and AIrbox mod

 

how many ppl did he have?
although if im not mistaken i belive the srt4 stage 1 is only injectors and a tune? so its possible

 

id say its possible. i watched a ss/sc with cai race a srt4 that had ignition and bov last night and the srt4 only had him by a half car or less...

 

geez him n some dude and a lil guy in the back.. didnt really see um..it was prolly and extra 300lbs. but shouldnt really make a diff since there 2.4l turbo. The one i racd that was stock i had my buddy in the car 3/4 tank of gas. the other car had 2 people also and i pulled a car on that one n kept a car on him. the Stage 1 srt was moded.

They are faster, stock for stock, with equal drivers. Maybe you're a little better driver than him? If you were to switch cars and race, you'd probably still win.

lol i dont think soo0 pal.. you dont get lucky 3 times. But W/e you say man. yall can call it luck but i call it a win. And the stage one srt pulled me at 120 soo... he had his shift light set at 5900 he told me thats wut he was shifting at. im pretty sure thats about where there power band lasts till. Thats race might have been luck but in the end he still got me.


hmmm.. i listed it once. never said it was a power mod. But since its not stock i think you could classify it as a performance modification. an im pretty sure they are adjustible to help hold boost longer. I know with most you can change the springs and some internal parts to them.

 

you didn't but sensesfail did, and no it is not a power mod. All the springs inside one would do would change the sound or however much boost was needed to make it blow off.

 

im not trying to be petty, but all i said was the kid had msd ignition and a bov stating his mods.... I didnt say the kids POWER MODS were msd ignition and bov.... so get off my nuts

 

i'd have to say that an SRT with intercooler, MBC, and an exhaust is putting bus lengths on you if your stock, but hey a kills a kill. Good job man
