Ok so I went to my local car meet and my buddy was busting my chops and wanted to see these turbos on the road, sooo he knows a guy with a srt-4 with just an intake, maybe idk so everyone follows us to a road and we do a 40mph 2nd gear roll and I brake boost and so does the neon, 3 honks we go, he pulls slightly, shift he pulls more and then some and we left off it, not sure how fast but he had almost a car, i would say 3/4 a car, I am new to this 08 SS just got it recently, I already broke it in and I have about 1100 miles on it, so we do a 2nd 40mph roll again, this time I brake boost and no lift shift, he brake boosts too, 3 honks and we go, he barely pulls through 2nd shift and barely pulls through 3rd we both slow down and hit a light, now were going from a digg. Lights red, rev the engine, Now I still had traction control on it was a quick stop and the light went green before I could turn it off and rev, so I rev it high and get a shitty launch and we both take off, neck and neck and i no lift shift and I start pulling a little bit over him, to 3rd gear, then we slowed cause we had to make a righ to go back to the lot.
Now I am not a great racer it was my first real race and I did alright, the other guy was deff a better driver! Sorry for all the commas and to be honest, I did not like racing to much lol idk I will do some bolt ons and a tune hopefully within the next 6 months

sounds like a lot of fun, i think these car are very equally matched stock vs stock

 

mabe if i was a better driver, from a roll I cant say he did any better then me when no lift shifting I had the pedal down the needle went to redline I shifted fast and he just pulled, slightly but he pulled, nothing special i wonder since he had an intake if it mattered, his exhaust was LOUD, maybe had had an exhaust too, idk but w/e I wish there was a track closer then 10 hours from my house
