Aspen is over priced for what it is. Dont get me wrong its beautiful there and you are bound to run into a celeb every now and again but there are much better ski resorts/towns.

Not really sure what kind of fun you look for in the Rockies but if you are a skier/snowboarder...
I really fell in love with sleepy little Winter Park. I also loved Vail, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge. My all time favorite place to ski however was Brighton, Utah.
