So I was sitting at Wawa tonight drinking coffee and talking with some guys from the fire hall and this punk, and his homies, pulls into the spot next to me with his gay little riced out neon! Thinking he is king S@!* with his giant wing and his fart can I will be the first to admit that my car is not the best by any means! It is 100% stock, it's not an S/C, and it's a sedan! There are a LOT of cooler cars around! But I love my car and wouldn't trade it for anything. So this little @$$ hat decides to park next to me and start farting up a storm (AKA revving his engine) and then look at my car and laugh So I flex my muscle a little (rev my engine) and continue my conversation! I never made eye contact with the dick or laughed at his car cause I believe that- As much as I love my car, others love theirs also! So I continue talking to my friends and he opens his door and shows me his IQ (gives me the bird)! So I get out of my car and say "don't get mad cause my car doesn't sound like it needs some Beano!!" I think he took offense to my comment cause he started to get red and told me my "cavalier is a piece of s@!*" At this point I almost pissed myself I was laughing so hard. I was able to stop long enough to ask him if he needed glasses cause I don't have a cavalier!! He said "It's the same S@!* different name, my neon would kill that thing!" Now some of you may remember that 1 week ago I was challenged by another neon on the highway and it wasn't even a race (what is it with me and neons, I must be a magnet for these ******)! I asked him what he ad done to his car and he said he didn't need to do anything to beat me! I said "Well if it's stock I'm not going to waste my time!" and he laughed. His reply- "My american muscle will crush your ricer any day!" He actually called MY car the ricer!! I'm thinking- What's wrong with this kid, did I screw his sister or something? So I decided I couldn't let this misguided youngster get away with this crap so I decided to take him up on his offer! We pulled out of the parking lot and onto 422! There is a nice 2 lane straight stretch with a traffic light to start us off about 1000 feet down the road. He never had a chance!! The light turned green and I was off quicker than a striper's shirt!! After my last neon encounter I decided not to spare his feelings and didn't let off until the road went to one lane!! None of this fly-by crap tonight!! I feel confident he's not going to pull the same crap the other neon driver did, cause his friends were in his car with him! When will these kids learn!!! and it would be nice to get challenged by something other than a neon!! I don't care if it out classes me, I would just like to race someone that can at least keep up!! Even if I lose it would be nice to have a real challenge!

 

somewhat of a war story, but ya i hate when ppl car our cars cavys, i like cavys but cobalts are not cavs. and i'll 2nd your SS sedan beats the **** out of that neon anyday.

 

Nice dude. i have the same exact thing as you with Scion Tcs. They just dont leave me alone. and they are all slow as ****. atleast all the ones ive encountered.

 

 

I guess you're right, it is a war story. It started out, in my head at least, as a rant about the stupid ricer pissing me off! Oh well, it will probly get moved there shortly!

that's the definition of a ***** right there. I used to drive a Neon and I always shook my head at the spoilers and fart cannons. I got into a race with an '04 Civic EX once with my Neon... a race between glacial ice and tectonic plates would be more interesting.

Anyway, if you're bored and are ever out in CO, lemme know. I'll bring my LSJ down to Bandimere and we'll go a couple times

 

I know the feeling. I've posted about it on here before. Try being from a small city where not many people can afford a truly nice car. Most the nice cars are slow cars with a lot of visual mods or a rich doctor who doesn't race. I'm hoping that this summer brings out some 350Z's or some stock Evo's/STi's. I'm almost getting tired of winning. I got beat by a turbocharged 2006 Accord on 81 the other day and I almost cried of joy...lol.


EDIT: I'm just West of you by the way. I live in Annville-Cleona, but anyone who knows the area knows that is a stone's throw away from Lebanon which is where I drive at.... we have our infamous "Strip" which was apparently popular even back in the 50's.

 

I get challenage by Neons alot too. Had two highschool punks pull up next to me, at a stoplight, one morning on my way to work. The driver looks over at me a revs his engine. I took the bait.... the light changes, we are off, I beat him badly. We stop at the next light, his buddy is just laughing at him. Says.... "Dude, you just got beat by some old guy!" Made my day!

 

I work at Hollywood casino so I drive through there every day! I take 934 up to 81 to get to work

why do i never get the ricers in neons challenging me to races

i always get the Right hand drive RX-7 twin turbos who tell me "lower that 4x4"

 

If you have a 2.2L you're not beating a Scion tC, they're slow, yeah. But they're faster than a 2.2L.

You know ive had the same damn problem with neons, i dont know what it is. Maybe its the fact that cobalts and srt-4s are both domestics competing in the import world, i duno but it gets tiring after a while. but i feel ya man, througha dn through

I love it when a Neon tries to race me. The only neon that I have lost to was a Stock SRT-4. I knew I would lose but I wanted to see how I would do. Got my a** kicked bad lol. Them and Civics they think they can beat anyone.
