Thumbs up STI vs S2/SS/SC

So i raced a bussy of mine in a STI. The only mod he has is a BOV.
So we go from A 40 roll
3 Beeps. I pull by .5 cars in second. His 3rd gear he starts to get even. I put it in 3rd and start to pull by a little less than .5 a car. so at 115mph i put in 4th and i started pulling by half a car and he let off.
Out come Me by .5 car. I dont think thats to bad vs a 300hp sti
My Mods. Stg2 2.9, K&N CAI, NGK's,Driver mod

300 at the crank... and they're AWD, comes out to 240-ish WHP depending on who you ask, should be a dead heat from 40 with just Stage 2. Kinda surprised the OP didn't pull a bit more given he's Stage 2+. Oh well, maybe the STI was built on a Friday

He's got a BOV? I thought those actually HURT the STi. I don't think their PCM is equipped to handle the dump...

Either way, good kill.

Good to know, didn't think dynos varied that much for STI's, but I guess they do

Also good to know, I figured driveline loss would take more than that but I guess some STI's make more than the advertised 300 at the crank (imagine that, an under-rated car, that never happens... )

AWD is notorious for that. Something like 20% if you're looking for a rough number. It depends on the car though, I though subie's were around that 20% mark, maybe the STI in question just made more stock power than advertised.

Either way, good run to the OP.

yes a stock sti, it causes a lil bit of turbo lag going through gears
