So, my friend and I were taking our second shift break to go get a bite to eat when we came up on a silver 2.4 sedan with a Confederate flag license plate frame. (I'm in CT)

We go through a couple of lights behind him and then get caught up at one. He is right in front of us and there is a late 90's brown maxima right next to him, minding his own business.

Right as the light changed to green, we heard three quick beeps of the horn from the Cobalt. The 2.4 took off and about 2 seconds after the "launch" the hazards came on.

And of course the maxima continued to drive normally.


Just thought I'd share. lol Who honks at a red light and puts on hazards right after you launch? And against someone who shows no indication that they are racing?

I don't think the first post implied the maxima was racing. Perhaps I will edit it a little for those that fail at detecting the sarcasm.

I raced one (latest model with the "allmighty" 3.5) in my RSX-S (intake, exhaust, reflash) and Smooooooooked it.

I thought they were faster than that...
They are not THAT fast...

haha, the awsome/talented drivers we have in CT. there is a kid in my town with a balt and he put a thrush turbo muffler on it and an autozone universal intake on it and thinks it's the fastest thing.

Ya thats BS... no 2.2 (unless its modded) is gonna beat a 2002+ Maxima (if the Maxima knows it's racing ).

 

it does come down to driver as well...they may be racing a vette but if they cant drive worth a damn then its all for nothing

 

Why does everyone keep talking about a 2.2 racing a maxima? My story was about someone that was doing absurd stuff while driving. It had nothing to do with whether or not they were driving a 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4 nor did the fact that there was a ‘90s Maxima in the other lane really have much bearing on it.

 

because your post did not show that as the main point, your post stated a 2.4 raced a maxima, he honked from a red light..little odd but ok...and raced
it doesnt say the maxima didnt, it doenst say anything...just states he was racing...

 

I figured that it was obvious by the way I wrote "And of course the maxima continued to drive normally".
