2003 Tibby GT vs 2003 durango 4.7L v8

I think i have posted about each of these cars before, but never together.

Most of the posters loled at each of these cars.

Anyways,

Thoughts on who will win?

durango by about a car or so

 

1/8th or 1/4??

1/8th durango by a truck haha
1/4 would be tibby by a car and a half

 

i used to own a tiburon and its going to pull the hell out of the durango in 1/8 and 1/4

 

tib gt will run around a 16.... the durango should pull a high 15

 

unless they're both towing trailers for this race...with equal drivers the tibby will win hands down... tiberon gt 180hp v6 is around 0-60 in low 7 seconds... 4.7L durango is around 10 seconds. it's heavy and only 210HP definately doesn't have a power to weight ratio advantage. hell even the hemi durangos with 335HP only muster mid 8's in the 0-60 department. tell the tibby driver not to waste his gas.

 

Tibby might be listed at that.

but its about 161 to the wheels.

 

tibs got like 170 engine hp maybe at the max

Yes they are. I had a 2002 RC SB Dakota 4.7 with a few mods ( Intake, exhaust, 4.10 gears, LSD, SC Tune) It ran 14.5 at 98. That Durango is heavier though and will be considerably slower. It will be close IMO.

 

The durango. Those tibbys are way too weak.

 

lol seriously people do a little research... check some reputable car reviewers and looks at the performance tests... they pretty much tell you the results... not 100% accurate but probably pretty close. stock for stock it's not even a doubt... tibby will win... it's lighter, aerodynamic, sporty, and only has marginally less horsepower. i don't think the tiberon gt v6 is insanely fast or an extreme performer but with equal drivers i have no doubts it will beat an SUV barely making over 200hp.

 

is the durango 4wd? that'll slow it down a bunch as well

or make it bog like a ************ haha and again... i'd like to see a 4.7L durango do a 0-60 in 7-8 seconds 4WD or not. i have yet to read a review that shows it doing any better than 10's .. and i read a bunch of them. im pretty sure they're not racing in the rain or snow... shouldn't even be a race. although i hate tibby's im pretty sure they can do better than 10 seconds... hell i'm sure they can break 7's and 8's from 0-60. also im pretty sure that durango isn't going to have the advantage after 60mph even if it does make a good 0-60 time... it's a heavy box.

Yea I don't expect a small V8 in a big vehicle to beat a standard V6 in a smaller car.

I ride in both cars, and it seems very even to me. I think it will come down to who drives better.
