Lol.

Well how i look at it, can't get anyone to dig race.

From rolls an LNF is better than an auto ls1.

A cammed e85 lnf will pull on a heads/cam/intake auto ls1 from a roll I would bet, or be right with...

It's fun to be the underdog.

A friend really did buy my old accord yes.

I'll post a race vid of my cobalt vs his accord when I get it. It should be close idk.... By the time I get the cobalt he will be making 260-270 whp. He is picking up on my build that I gave up on.

Or I may just have my tuner for my camaro tune the cobalt. He has done several and does good work..... and not tell my friend in the accord lol.

When I buy the cobalt in a few months i will have a few grand to drop into it.

Thinking upgraded axles, clutch, full exhaust, cai, e85, 5th injector, maybe zzp stage 2 cams. It's been really hard to find good info on those.

$999 for the full cams kit is pretty good. It's about $800 for an LSx car... $1k with top of the line parts.

There's good local knowledge too.

Mark, Exsoccer1921 on here, lives in edmond and is a friend of my friend rob(casionerd). I may hit him up sometime and call zzp too.

$3k and it should make 370-400 whp on stock turbo, run low 12's or maybe high 11's on a slick. Trap 116-119.

Hell for the camaro I was looking at $4-5k on just to make the car reliable(built trans and rear end), so I'm not worried or having regrets.

I dont think you'll make 370 on stock turbo, and definitely without having 400+ tq. Which if thats the case you should be looking at a different trans

ZZP got 380 on stage 2 cams and e85.

I thought the clutch was the weakpoint and the trans only becomes the weakpoint with NLS'ing far above stock power levels?

Nope, 3rd gear with that much tq on the 5 speed is the weak point. You'd be making close to efr numbers and most of those guys understand they're on borrowed time and usually save up for the 6 speed upgrade until then. I thought the gmpp clutch is a great upgrade for the stocker from what I've read. Should be a quick ride once its done though.

man that thing was all over the place. What kind of suspension set up are you running? Might wanna look at a better rear sway bar to start with.

good job keeping it in the run tho.

i thought the general consensious was 3rd is fine as long as you dont mash it at low rpms.

Completely stock suspension. The sway bars are some of the stiffest available for the car lol mine came factory with heavier springs and sway bars because it's a special edition.

It looks like the suspension was bottomed out and the drivers side slick rubbing the very top of the wheel well. I'm going to try a set of spring boosters next time I go to the track to see if it helps.

Imma be honest here. I'm waiting for you to go full trollololol mode.

Why not just keep the Camaro, a few bolt on's and its a solid 12 second car. Not to mention RWD is much more fun than FWD.

Eh, the whole drivetrain(trans/rear end) is unreliable. To do what I want with a stall and such I would have to spend $5k just to make the drivetrain reliable.

I don't race enough to justify spending that kind of money, everyone does an f body anyways.

Which is more cool. An 11 second cobalt turbo or 11 second f body? People expect the f body to be fast and a cobalt to be slow.

When I'm older I can go back to LS and do it all over.

Every Balt is different, be prepared to dump that much into the TC if your build goes South. Parts break especially when the engine and drivetrain are seeing a 50% power bump with your build. ZZP is truly a great company though. If I still had my TC, that's who would be getting my money.

Why not go with a 252, 256, or EFR? Get the same or better results without maxing the stocker and have room left on the table if you want more power later (still close to your budget). I rode in a 252 with the external waste gate and man it's loud, but an awesome addictive loud.
