tore up a tsx!

so my friend got a new manual 2.4l acura tsx and was braggin about how fast it was and stuff, considering how much he spend on it that thing is slow, We started from a dig and went up to around 65ish and i had him by car and a half easily, not to mention i have an auto 2.2. Then we did a 25 roll up to 60 and i got him by about a car. Lmao all the way home. We both are bone stock as far as performance mods. Hes prolly gonna buy a bunch of stuff now and try to race me again, to bad im getting my intake and exaust next week, then Ill really spank him. He was also complaining about how he was missing shifts and spinning, but i was more than likely an excuse.

i was just curious to race him, i knew his car is heavier but it has a 200hp 2.4 in it and a manual, i figured he would have had me...not the case. the ss or ss/sc would really smoke them acuras.

Not saying it didn't happen, but anyone who knows how to drive with any amount of skill should smoke an auto 2.2 in a stick TSX.

Cobalt - 2991 lb / 145 hp = 20.6 lb/hp

Acura - 3257 lb / 205 hp = 15.9 lb/hp

It should be no contest unless either - your friend doesn't know how to drive, or - your friend was breaking in his car and not really racing

tsx
base price : $26,490

Engine : 4 cylinder, DOHC, front engine FWD
Displacement : 2,354 cc
Valve : 16 valves, 4 valves per cylinder
Transmission : 6-spd manual,

Horsepower : 200 hp @ 6800 rpm
Torque : 166 lb-ft @ 4500 rpm
Redline : unknown

Top speed : 145 mph
0-60 mph : 7.0 sec.(manual)
0-¼ mile : 15.5 sec @ 90.0 mph(estimated)

Curb Weight : 3250-3350 lbs

Cobalt LS Coupe - I4 2.2L (145 hp) 5M + ABS
0 - 60 Time - 7.87
1/4 Mile Time - 16.18
1/4 Mile Speed - 88.40

looks like the stats say he's got the slight advantage, so he's just a bad driver, makes it even better that i won. I just pulled these up really quick so i think they are somewhat accurate, i also have an auto and that ratings is for manual so im prolly sitin around low 8's on 0-60

But, sometimes it's just as rewarding to beat a bad driver...

"WTF?? How'd I lose??? My car is way faster than yours!"

"Dude, it's not your car. It's YOU."

Those new acuras are slow. I went test driving with my dad. We drove the tsx, rsx and the tl. Not impressed. There really comfy and look nice but they not as fast as they should be, IMO.
