i know there's a war stories section but this is for my 2.2 brethren. major mods are in my vbgarage but here's the low down. in my trifecta tuned auto sedan i raced a coupla buddys from a dig. no nitrous was used so both races were all motor from beginning to end.

first was was a 2005 5-speed scion tc and it was even til mid second on my auto at which point i slimply walked him and just kept gaining ground til the end of the 1/4. second race was an 2003 sentra ser spec-v, this race was close into third and i got a nose ahead and started inching until we shut down just shy of the 1/4 do to a Evo 9 blocking my lane. if you doubt the trifecta tune on an auto i'm here to tell you that it's well worth the money, period.

i guess, if you wanna call it that. you tell vince what you have as far as mods and send him your vin #. he magically finds your factory tune and tunes your factory tune to match your current setup and sends you a handheld device with the new and old tune on it, should you need it. you plug it in and like magic it sweet talks the ecm and tcm into playing nice and then it's all love.

Will the trifecta tune work on the '08s?

 

I don't believe it's been tested yet.

With the sales of Cobalts being so high it would really help Vince's business to get a tune ready. Especially the MPG tune.

I hear nothing but good things about this tune but I still want to see some hard proof that it would benefit our cars with mods.

I know that you can get around 3- 5 whp out of a stock 2.2 with the tune but that is all fine and dandy if you're not gonna do anything else.

I want to see someone with numbers before and after a tune with an intake and full exhaust. The most common mods before tuning.

 

i got word from vince a re-tune should be $100 so i'm gonna go a ahead and drop the 2.4 mani swap in and see how well that spec-v hangs after that.
