Was it a Fox body style or 94-95 style? Either way with those minor mods a 5.0 isnt nothing but a low 14 second car at best, unless of course it's on some nice DR's or slicks. Nice kill!!!

Well the 94's were right after the fox bodies....they are some of the slowest stangs in stock form due to the extra weight.

I would like to see you go against a fox body with the 3.73's....might be pretty close if they can drive...with mine, once I swapped the heads, I was in the 12's

Congrads. You beat down an engine that was designed and first introduced in 1968. Give yourself a pat on the back.

HAHA its like people don't think a supercharger or Turbo makes up for the lack of displacement and/or cylinders.

With heads that probably barely flow 180cfm. 5.0's are dogs unless they have a nice set of heads, cam and a nice 331 stroker kit

I think a turbo on a 4 cylinder makes up for the displacement is loses, not so much for the S/C.

Problem with the SC/SS is that the M62 is too ******* small so power gains are limited because it doesn't pump out enough CFM. Said it all my life. If the SC/SS came with an M90 it would have rocked so much harder.

The hot rod article showed that an LSJ with cams, exhaust and an M90 put out 20 less horsepower when swapped to a TVS with the same combo

I raced a friend of mine he has a fox body 5.0 with gears and flowmasters with my sc with 60 miles on the car at the track won by 3 lengths. Now it's a different story now that he has a 347 stroker

Stock shortblock out of a 91 LX. It has run 11.8s on motor at 115.9mph while having a nonlockup AOD. I know what you're saying though...the next time I spray it that could be the last. A few nitrous guys have run in the 9.8-9.9 range without the block splitting...but it's really only a matter of time before it happens.
