Let's first off start by saying that I NEVER have anyone try to race me.

So I was driving on a "closed" highway and I saw this porsche come past me doing about five miles an hour more than me. So I play catch up and there's no one in front of me. I down shift to third and we both nail it. I thought I was going to get my ass handed to me. NOPE! Neck and neck from about 70 to a hundred where he cut off, with me Barely and I mean barely, inching on him. WHAT?! As he passed after we slowwed he gave me a thumbs up as did I, and he pulled foward. I noticed he had a dual exhaust with two bubble like tips on each side. And on the ass in the middle it said "Turbo". Anyone know the specs on this car?

Right after that finished a crew cab pickup pulled up next to me, I guess he saw us race and started revving away. I was like "oh boy not gonna waste my gass." But then I saw the badging...It was an SRT-10!!! So I punch it, and he did but slighty delayed, and I started pulling. I put about a car and a half on him from seventy untill I shut down around a hundred.

What a night. I still can't believe I did that well. I never get any good races. FINALLY!!

 

Sick man, I do believe you, but I do believe the porsche may have been ******* with you. I think in most instances at full throttle a turbo porsche would smash any cobalt.

 

I think it all depends on the year. Nice wins man..On a quick side-note, what's your opinions on the Vibrant cat-back? I have one comin for my ride..

Must not have been the twin turbo 993. That thing will beat just about any car. 607 horse power: 0-60 3.2 seconds. Even the 911 turbo is like 3.4-3.8 0-60. I think those run around 400 horse power. From a roll they would have you beat even with a bad driver.

 

I dont get it. it says 14.57 before stage 2. but you have a blad clutch.

a SRT-10 should have ate you alive unless he was toying with you too. they run 12s. with the v-10 viper engine.. i mean i dunno man

i was going to say...doesn't it matter what model porsche? 944, boxster, carrera, caymen, 911? not only that, but there are different versions of each of those models.

either way though...it's a porsche. nice job.

my guess is that it was a 993 or a carrera.

I had a nice little run-in with a porsche. I was going out to see my girl, driving very normally. As I started to merge towards the highway, this porsche comes out of nowhere, maybe 90 mph, flying up the ramp in front of me. I followed him around, through the toll plaza, and onto a long straight stretch of 4 lane divided highway. There was traffic, so we couldn't do too much, but whenever he punched it, I stayed right with him, and he did the same if I took off. Few miles down, he takes the same exit as me, two cars in front of me. Exit leads to a light, with 2 right turn lanes and 2 left turn ones. He's going right, same as me. There are no cars at the light, and its green. I approach the corner at about 80, brake down to 50 as I go a little past him, heel-toe to second and throttle around the corner, as I hear him gas it hard on the inside of me. I held him even around the corner, then pulled a car-length through the top of second and part of third on the road coming out of the corner. Not a drag race or anything, but I still pulled him, and it was a 200* 911, so I was happy. Not everyday you get to race with a Porsche.

 

That SRT-10 badge was fake or he was just ******* with you hardcore. Not sure about the Porsche, the 944 really isn't all the fast.

 

i dunno about the srt10 ******* with him, my budy has a 68 camaro 383 totally re-done with a little over 420 horsepower. it runs low 13's i believe and yet from a roll i am pretty close to it.
i would say thats because there is no launch and in 2nd gear at 40 the boost kicks in right away. as for the porche i have no idea. but hey good job buddy

 

yea my bad man there was 2 of you guys posting about it, the other guy had the bad clutch, sorry got kinda mixed up. but he said he beat the srt-10 and a db6 aston martin lol or something like that. sorry about the confusion

All i know is i have an integra and i raced a ford lighting and got burnt lol. we started from 75 mph and went to 150. lol and i know the srt 10 are faster. BUT your car is faster than my integra. so either way man.. nice killl regardless, shoot id be bragging if i took a srt-10 for sure

 

that's probably because the lightning has a blown 5.4 that responds to mods like the damn terminators. lightning with 700 bucks = srt-10 OWNAGE.

 

My buddy has one. that **** is a damn beast. maybe $1,700 USD invested. it owns me... dig or roll.
