I talked to that Guy DBR who test fitted a set of IRL wheels and he said that he had 2 lugnuts snug and the wheels were hitting the brakes. He runs autox so wheels spacers weren't an option. His car was an 09 mine is an 08. With all the difference in opinions on wether they fit or not I wanted to see if they did in person in hope that Maybe there is a slight difference between the 08 and the 09. But oh well now I need to find another set of something quick
RL wheels fit with no spacers.. You have to put all the lug nuts on so its on straight or it will rub cause its that close.

Ugh, the Redline rims make me go limp in anything but gunmetal for some reason. Trying to get my GF to let me plasti-dip her's black because thats an upgrade over the stock "chrome" Such a weird pattern on them. I would love that red if it had a red SS badge too.

Best to get a 5mm spacer for the Redline wheels just so you don't **** your brembos if something gets between them and the wheels.

So it actually makes contact with the brembos? Scuffs the paint off a bit?

It just brushes it but it doesn't take the paint off.. A 3mm spacer would be a good idea but they will fit without.

with all the searching ive done tonight, people say run a 3mm or 5mm (5mm being the thickest spacer to run without extending the wheel studs) i picked up 4 IRL wheels last weekend. didnt do a test fit but looks like you accomplished it. im just using them for winter wheels so i wont be doing any autoX or anything crazy like that.

i like the color also. im getting my IRL wheels painted SRTC,my buddy is doing it for free so i hope it will look good

If you corner hard, you will hit the IRL wheels against the caliper. You really think runout on your wheel bearings is that good? I don't. Get spacers.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet. I searched and couldn't find any info.

DiscountTire.com now has TSW Silverstone Rims as an option for the SS/TC. They are 18x8 5x110 and ET40. Supposed to be 22lbs each. Last time I looked on that site it only came back with MSRs. If this is old news or a repost..... my bad.

I would get those black ones. I need to search for pics of these wheels on cars like ours.

edit: all pics showed these wheels not looking too good.

Does anyone have first hand experience that these (MSR 048) work?

IRL wheels with no spacer are good for drag race use only... past that time to throw a baby spacer in there.
