225/40R18 or 225/45ZR18

Hi , i need help to choose my new tires.
I'm running on Eibach Sportlines and i want to buy BF Goodrich GForce KDW
but i'm unsure of the best size for me

225/40R18
or
225/45ZR18

any advice or comments will be appreciated

Will i get any rub with 225/45ZR18 on sportlines with stock SS/Sc Wheels ?

Our stock rubber is 25.7 inches tall. The 225/45 BFGs are I believe 25.9 inches tall.The 225/40 tire is a little shorter 25.4 I think .So your not talking about a huge difference.As far as fender rub with the Sportlines goes I don't think you will have trouble but I'm not using that spring so I can't say for sure.I'm using Toyo Proxes 4 in the 225/45 as it gives a little more sidewall to absorb shock as there are a lot of potholes here that you sometimes can't see,and bent wheels suck if you know what I mean.Good luck.

for what its worth i run 235/40ZR18 with no rubbing issues at all.

im running 235 40 18 dot compounds on stock rims
