No spacers, they didn't rub. My friend had 265/35's on an 8'' wheel and they just barely rubbed when he turned the wheel all the way.

There's no way those are 30mm wider than the stock Conti's. They must run REALLY narrow for 255's!

They are indeed wider. I compared them to the stock ones when they were swapped and they were obviously wider.

Oh they're obviously wider, but 30mm? That's over 1".

I'm on nitto 555 245/40-18 with sportlines. I do have rubbing issues when the steering wheel is completely cranked in either direction...

I believe 255/35's are. 265 would bulge and rub. The 255 barely bulges and I had no rubbing on sportlines.

SS/SC wheels are 7" wide. I wouldn't put anything wider than a 235 on them and even that is pushing it.

The continental do run slightly smaller, take into account the tire size rated has a +/-6% stated so it could be spot on it could be slightly more or less depending if they taper the shoulder off of the contact patch. Look at a 225 falken ZE-512 then look at a 225 Michilen Pilot sport or Hankook V12 Evo. The Falken is a little smaller, due to its design.

Hey shibito, what springs were you lowered on with those 255/35 tires? Do you think I would rub on SSC springs with that size? Also, I'm gonna be getting some Nexen N3000's. Not sure if they run wide or not.

I had sportlines on the car. Stock springs might be able to run 265's but IDK anyone who keeps stock springs very long

I've had my car since Halloween 2009 on stock springs lol. Hopefully that changes this summer. Do you guys think its safe to run a 255 tire on the stock TC wheels seeing they're only 7.5" wide?

frankly I'd play it safe and go with a 235/40... or if you're bent on 245 ~ 245/35.
