chrome: heavy and a pain to keep clean
high polish aluminum: light and a MUCH bigger pain to keep clean UNLESS clearcoated well, but the better of the two IMHO because of the lighter weight and once they're clearcoated they clean up nice.

I would recommend polished FORGED aluminum. You can get a very high luster almost as bright as Chrome. Chrome will pitt if you live in a cold weather state and aluminum does not pit. Chrome also peels after time and aluminum does not. Aluminum is much lighter and cheaper. Chrome is very nice but I had a set of 20 inch Giovanni's top of the line guaranteed not to pit or peel. Guess what they did both and one cracked after hitting a pot hole. I learned my lesson.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes, wheels.. hence the wheel and tire section.
I can get some American Racing chrome wheels with a 2 year warranty whereas the Polished Aluminum had no warranty.
