I think I saw your car out by the washing station at one point but I lost it after that. I was surprised to see another rally yellow.

might need some spacers to clear the brembos even with that offset, just for a heads up.

i think u got your answer already, the spring is too tall for the shock.

u can leave the shocks bolted at the top and unbolted on the bottom. jack up the beam in the center till the springs are barely compressed, then u see how to adjust the shocks length

thats to set preload, keeps the springs in place as well. then again ur springs arent gonna work for that application

i told you get rid of the springs or get rid of the franken suspension. They arent valved for those springs and the coilovers need the proper spring height. Not sure what else you are looking for? It sucks but you may have to scrap those shock/coilover sleeves from B&G.

I thought about it but that is just asking for trouble with the way our springs are designed to wrap the bump stop. Cutting is great if the spring is a single rate single diameter. (chip foose cuts springs) but on our cars its not safe, not smart, and cheap.

Wow, just found out that my D2 rear shocks aren't even height adjustable, what a rip-off!

If you want ride quality look into KW coilovers. Most of their setups use progressive rate springs and they're softer/more street friendly
