You can easily find 16x8 +20 and run like a 205/45/16 Hell you can even find nice 16x8.5 and 16x9 in 4x100 too.

ESM has a nice BBS RS replica thats 17x8.5 +20. Thats on the more agressive side but with the right tires I think you can get it really flush. The 3in stepped lip is sick too.

For 16's you can look at Honda-tech wheel classifieds, VW vortex 4x100 classifieds, REv Unlimited Classifieds, North American Motoring Classifieds, Lotus Talk classifieds since the Exige is 4x100 and they run agressive 16 and 17's. That should be enough help.
I really appretiate the info. thanks

^ right well, you can run 16's.

if you want a 50 series tire.

or you could use 40/45 and have a few inches of wheel gap if thats what you like.

sure you will be lower. but with either huge tires or lots of wheel gap

No offense man, but you don't have the best wheel gap either right now. I know you have some special prototype prerunner springs right now, but you should really practice what you preach. But, I'll take your challenge, no worries.

trust me dude, he's been on that spring case since day 1, it's really not his fault, he's tried all his resources.

16's are going to be next to impossible to tuck tire without wrecking the axles

He's right. Look at his gap with 17's, yours will likely be worse than that with 16's. They just won't look good IMO. I would never go below 17

yeah man these cars have quite the big wheel well to fill. Getting low is not a problem, it's getting low to look right that's the hard part

Well, with my Stance coilovers, I have no issue with ride height right now. I tuck tire on my 18s with all the perches and locking rings in place. It's just a little on the annoying side when someone preaches "Stance" and "Agressive Fitment" when they haven't yet achieved it themselves, whatever the issue. I am here to learn, and take it to the next level, so I stay away from giving advice because of my lack of experience. That's all I'm saying there.

I'm not trying to tuck tire, really. I like the "Meaty Flush" look (with a little of the 60's rolled into it), kinda like Elvis' on StanceNation. Tucking would be cool, with raised motor mounts and notched crossmembers and all that. That may be in my future, but that's not my immediate plan.

He has gap on 17s because of other reasons, so I won't really take that into account. Spooled has very little gap and he's on 17s. He doesn't even have Stance coilovers, he has kSports.

Look, what it comes down to is I have a different vision than most other people around here. That's not a bad thing, and I'm not saying that my vision is better than anyone else's. I have been in the car game for a while, I'm 28 after all. This isn't the first car I've modified. I have influences from other "genres" in the automotive culture, and I plan on playing those out, whether it's popular or well received or not. If I make myself look like a fool, well, that's my choice. If other people dig it (which I think they will), that's a bonus. I guarantee, I will be the ONLY one that has the look I'm shooting for. So, game on, let's have fun out there. After all, we Cobalts are in the minority, we need to stick together.
