I'm not feeling the BBS wheels and the tires have too much sidewall IMO. The fitment is good tough, I'll give you that.

Ever consider painting your centers a nice bronze Spooled? I think it'd really pop and work well with those wheels on that color. Just an idea.

Ok, so what's the deal about the thread where someone is saying Stance Coilovers suck?
Mine is going to be a straight up Daily Driver, and hit some local car meets over the summer. No track time, drag racing, auto crossing. My Cobalt is too slow to do any of that. I just want awesome slam-ability with a tolerable, comfortable ride. I was under the impression Stance was the best because it's perfect for daily reliability and comfort. but some guy is actually saying K-sport and Megan are actually better for just a daily driver. and that Stances are just cheap Chinese coil overs with a name and huge price tag.

Am I wasting money on Stances? I'm buying this week so i need to know. Help me out fellas.

Yeah i figured that. But this guy named "whyyoumadson?" in this thread:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/susp...lovers-241572/
Says that kw variant 2's are the best coil overs for our cars. And makes a strong point...but he also is basing this on a car he races. I'm not racing my Cobalt.
In it he says:

megan uses equal rates but are a complete fail in shock valving and spring design.....kw i forgot the spring rates but they use a german outfit for machining everything and have top nothc valving....but remember this is the kw vairant 2 not the variant 1. the kw variant 1 is similar to stance....

There's a big difference.....stance is china made kw is german made....kw is HIGHER QUALITY. from my experiance the stances have ok valving and poor spring rates but are manufactured pretty good.. a company called hsd actually makes stance and if you can hind a set of hsd for the cobalt they are a little cheaper. kw i feel is a superior product on all ends.

stance will drop about .5" more then the kws.
He later goes on to say if your just lowering the car for looks and show all you need are Megans or K-sports. I've heard horror stories about Megans but people are raving about how great the Stances are. You guys all like the Stances so I'm just going to stick with that then. But this guy makes some good points.

Anyone know anything about KW V2's?

Stance and HSD is not the Chinese or Taiwan BS that Megan and Ksport are. Stance is a US company and they source them through HSD which is in europe. Nothing to do with Taiwan. Many others like Megan BC Ksport D2 are made in foreign countries and are fine for daily driving but Stance is better than those other brands by a long shot. And as far as the cobalt community is concerned the Megans are perfectly adequate for lowering your car and giving a decent ride. I am probably going with them to be honest since I just want to get low. Most likely they will handle really good with a bigger rear sway bar anyway.

I really like taht +16. i wanna see what someone runs in 18s without rubbing.....this is make the 15mm spacer up front sound like a plan for a +27 offset. and maybe a 12 or 10 in the back so it matches the poke

I dont think i could run a 19mm adapters with 18x8 + 23 on 225/40 id rather do adapters than studs and spacers but meh if i could run 19mm adapters id do it in a heartbeat

let me know what yours looks like. i've gotta go to the doctor for a dislocated rib (in the back ) but after im going to turn my wheels and take some measurments im good height wise i think with like a 12mm but i may have to lift them front a tad..... my intake needs to be moved first lol i may have to change something about it to make it work.

guy here will roll fenders the rest of the way for 50 so ill do that too.

My intake rubs.

My tires rub the fender lip while turning.

While braking firmly, the tires rub the top or the inner fenders.

When hitting expansion joints at any kind of speed, i can hear all four tires rub.

Dips are my enemy.

Both my front tires, and my driver's side rear tire have wear lines from rubbing.

The front tires have polish marks from the tires simply rubbing the fenders while turning.

I love every minute of it.
