Goodyear Eagle Gt's
after doing some research and posting this thread I have decided to go with the eagle gt's...my next question is how wide of a tire can I go with the ls steelies? stock size is 195-60-15, i have put wider than stock tires on other factory rims before but the shop that i usually get my tires from won't put any other size on. i have called a couple of the other shops and they say the same thing... any help?
205/50 would be WAY too short...when traveling 60mph your speedo would read about 63...that's too big of a difference for a 15" wheel/tire.
205/55 would read about 61 when traveling 60, and a 205/60 would read 59 when traveling 60. I chose to go 205/60 (even though the sidewall is taller than stock).
You could have your speedometer re-calibrated at a dealership if you wanted to get something that's a bit different in size, but I wouldn't waste money or time doing that...just get 205/55 or 205/60 or stick to stock 195/60.

So has anyone had any track days with these on? I've decided to give the rx8 a rest, and take my balt up to Gingerman next month for a test-n-tune outing. I have stock suspension/brakes right now, and am running the Eagle GT's. They are all season, but have great wet/dry traction ratings. This will be my first FWD car I've tracked, so I'd like to keep her on course best I can
