I would definately buy the Kuhmos.

But go back to the tirerack site, look up each tire and read the reviews. You will get a bunch of opinions, more than what you will probably get here.

Good Luck

I just checked tire rack and you should look at the Generals. 225/40-18. #1 rated and $81 each.

GM Warranty? If that is what you meant = NO. no tire falls under car manufacture warranty.

if there is a defect or blown tire that you experience they will then replace it. that doesn't happen under normal tire wear.

The M&S Perillis are much better than the stockers. That's what I am looking at. You definately need to check out the survey results on tire rack. They are always on the mark!

I want to check out these generals though!

www.discounttiredirect.com will beat tirerack on the kumhos. I would get the SPTs or the Falken FK 452. I have the falkens and love them. They were 135/tire when I got them.

I agree! Like I said before, I think it is much better to read hundreds of reviews than just ask a few friends what they like. Those Generals are #1 in their category and they are like $81 each, they'd be the perfect tire for me.

try these, https://www.vtunnel.com/index.php/10...84b4da2ff21426 I have them a little bit wider than the stock pirrelli's and i love em, they're not as soft as the stockers but they still stick well.

Sorry, haven't checked lately. I was gonna get 225/40-18. Little bit wider and a tiny bit lower. BTW, a 235/40 is wider still and almost exactly the same diameter as stock.

I checked into this mostly when I got my car new (2 years ago) and hated the stock Pirellis. Still think they are some of the worst tires I've ever owned, on a non-LSD SS/SC they were terrible.

When I looked at the ads in the car rags where they list sizes and prices, the 225/40-18 was always a lot cheaper because more cars use that size and they can increase production. Back then 215/45-18 was an oddball and cost a lot more for a little smaller tire.

I haven't checked lately and I know 215/45 is used on more cars now, so maybe the price difference is closer. I had still planned to go 225/40 but I recently sold the car.

I have the Nero M+S', they are a pretty good all around tire (summer/winter). No complaints from me.

LOL - Generals are rocks as hard as rocks. yeah they last long but you will end up wishing they would wear out already. LOL sorry but you will experience it after 20 to 30,000 miles.
