Impact Gun / Torque Wrench

My dad has an impact gun that he uses on his when he needs to take wheels off, but it is rated at 400 lbs. That is way to much for my SS. I figured I would just buy another Impact Gun that is down in the 100lb range but I can't find one that low. Are impact guns made that low or must I get a torque wrench?

You could just learn to use the one he has. It's isnt like a light switch. They are variable speed. Take the lug nuts off and then put them back on but dont hammer them on. Just snug them up then use a torque wrench to torque them to spec. An even better idea would be to use the lug wrench that came with the car.

^^ what he said. Most wreches that come with the car are designed so that u can't put more more force into the wrench then what the nut requires. It's a safer bet if u aren't gonna get a torque stick.

That and obviously he doesn't know how to use the impact gun. I can see him now, playing Nascar pit crew and stripping the wheel studs.
