Just and update I finally had to get new tires and I decided to go with something else. I actually would have bought these again but I got a better brand tire for the same price with free mount and balance so I couldn't beat that. I love the Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals

Where did you get the same price on the Firestone Firehawk tires?
were they $63/piece?

no they ended up being the same price since Im getting free mount and balance. If i would order them lexani tires I would have to pay for the mount and blance but since I bought the tires from firestone im getting the mount and blance free and I got 35 percent off retail price since I work for their parts company.

Tires were 408 out the door mounted and blanced from firestone. Lexani were 70 a piece plus the 50 bucks to ship and mount and blance costing near 60 bucks it came out to be 8 bucks cheaper for better tires.

I understand now especially with your discount. I was looking everywhere online and couldn't find them much cheaper than $108/tire.

Yea they are normally 140 from the store but with my discount and free mount and balance it came out cheaper than lexani. I can get any tire with a discount if your wanting me to see about getting some from you but not sure how shipping will play a role for you.

Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on it next time for tires.
I went ahead and ordered the Lexani's but this time I went with 235's instead of 225's.

I just got my Lexani's put on this weekend. I definitely like having the 235's instead of the 225's on my car. Feels good to have new tires on my car. I was starting to get nervous driving in the rain.

Yeah they are working out. I had the 225/40/18's on the car but like the new 235/40/18's that are on them now. The new tires cover the wheel a little better.

Hmm...def looking at the 245's...I might even go 255's since my rims can handle it, but I'd be pretty unhappy if they rubbed

Lexani LX 9100's. I'm stock and they hold power pretty good. They aren't the best gripping tire but for the price they perform really well. They are definitely holding up and lasting alot longer than the stock conti's. They perform pretty good in rain, although I haven't tried them in snow. I definitely recommend getting at least 235's if you get the Lexani's. I could have probably gone with a 245 and still been okay (since I'm not lowered). I've ran them with a little bit extra air and went mountain carving with no problems. I can't say how they do under launch control because I don't do that. I only do NLS every once in awhile and they will definitely spin going into second while keeping boost.

i dont NLS, i need my trans right now. Ya if your slipping while NLS'n from 1st to second (which actually, stock tune -- unless your gms1 -- 1st gear has no boost) and slipping, they would be worthless for me Trying not to spend 6-800 bux on tires that will be mostly highway, but I dont want to get somethign that will make the car perform not as well

I only spent a little over $300 for all 4 tires. I feather the clutch coming out of 1st and I don't spin in first. It only spins when doing NLS into 2nd gear because keeping boost at 15psi. I only do NLS occasionally, and instead mostly just chirp 2nd gear. It's actually better to not use NLS at the drag strip. It's just fun to do on the street sometimes.
