Lite weight 18''

Does anybody who makes a lightweight 18'' rim, all the ones I found say between 19-25lbs, if not is 17's the only option as far as weight is concerned?

Pretty much, most racers use 17"s because they are the best combination between weight and handling. By the way a light weight 17" is about 14lbs sweet sweet Motegi tracklight (drool) soon you will be mine my precious.

the is a structural phenomenon between 17" wheels and 18" wheels and to get a lightweight 18 means stronger metals and alloys means big bucks, sorry man thats the reality of it. A 18" wheel that weigth 22lbs or less is pretty decent. You can always swap to a 17" but for me stock is 18 and ill never go smaller than that.

25lbs for an 18" wheel? yikes! Hell, the 19"s im getting later this month are only 24.5lbs each (Konig Theories) and I know that the 19" Rial Nogaros only weigh 24lbs each too. My 18" Enkei WDMs are pretty light. 21lbs each I believe.

lol, WOW and I thought the $1,750 wheel/tire combo im looking at getting was expensive.......

My 18"s w/ tires was $1,110. Both wheel tire combos (the one I have and the one im getting are both from wheelsnext.com).

Someone on this forum needs to get some HRE's!!! Its like $500+ a wheel for HRE's, but thats b/c you pretty much pick a wheel design and design it to your specs. (offset, face color/finish, lip color/finish, custom center caps, and you can even have the rivets on the two piece HRE's custom painted/dipped/plated, etc etc). If I was a gazillionaire and still held an interest in Cobalts rather than like Gallardos and SLR McLarens, i'd def throw some HRE's on it for good measure!!!
