New Rubber
Also, I don't rotate them
The excessive wear on the outside is probably from cornering. The wear on the inside of the old tires is what would concern me more, though the tires actually wore fairly evenly. It just looks bad because there is actually some tread in the middle and none on the sides. Normally I would say under-inflation but you allready said they wern't, though knowing how much pressure you actually did run in the tires would be nice. I'm going to guess the wear on them is from cornering and *possibly* alignment. Being that the front tires get the brunt of the workload it would probably be worth getting the alignment checked out just in case.
Also I believe Wal-Mart mounts tires for about $4.00 a tire, balancing is about $7.00 per tire if I remember correctly. If you have a Sam's Club membership they do balanceing/rotates for $3.88 a tire, but don't mount tires you didn't buy there, hence mentioning Wal-Mart.
I work in Sam's Club Tire and Battery, that's why I have an interest. You can just ignore my post if you really want
