Opinions on using Malibu/HHR wheels for winter tires...

So, i have been thinking about it and realized the hubs/bolt patterns were the same on the SS and the newer Malibus/HHRs back when someone else's abs sensor got yanked and I priced one for him. Was thinking any of the 17+ wheels for the malibu or hhr wouldn't look too bad. Theyre going to be covered in salt anyways, so even hubcaps wouldn't be that bad if they were the chrome ones. Any opinions? Please voice them.

Probably gonna need spacers to fit. Get a set of drag DR-34s. They're cheap and clear the brembos nicely. Unless you're getting those OEM wheels from a junkyard, these will probably be cheaper. Also you're gonna have to get the Malibu LTZ wheels which are 18s or the HHR SS wheels which I thnk are also 18s for them to fit. Otherwise I don't think either one has 17" wheels as far as I know, and I know for sure there are no steelies. Brembos are a pain to fit wheels over.

Ya, the Malibu wheels won't go over the Brembo's. My wife has a 07 Malibu Maxx LTZ with 17's and they would hit. Nice wheel, but not enough room for the Brembo.

The HHR SS wheel should fit, as they can have Brembo's on them. But those are nice wheels.

The hhr 17" wheels should fit with 3mm spacers. I used 5mm and have a lot of room.
