speed-o adjustments

hello everyone... i just told my friend about this site, but he is too busy to make an accound right now, but he will check it out tommorow.. anyways he has an 05 cobalt LT sedan.. he wants to put 17" wheels on it and wants to know if he puts low prof tires on it.. how much will he have to adjust the speed-o, and how it is done thanks

as long as the total diamter of the new rims+tires is within 10% of the total diamter of the old rims+tires, he shouldn't have to worry about any adjustments with the speedo. he'll probably need an alignment and balance afterwards though.
