i was looking around for tires last night and with my tight budget i went with the kuhmo ectsa spts. So i would vote for the bfg kdw2s which was what iw anted or the falken azenis 315 but since i had a strict budget i went with th kuhmos. Kuhmos were on my monte and worked really well.

OR like it was said, the falken azenis 515 I think it what the tire is.... the tire looks very agressive and almost slick/street looking. Thats the one I would get! Good price to, I would stay away from the BF's KDW... not enough traction for a SS/SC

Let me know how you like the Kumhos when you get them on if you wouldn't mind.

I'm gonna have to look into these Flaken's a little more since it seems like they are pretty well liked as well.

Yeah man, this summer when its time for tires, those are the ones I am getting for sure!! People are getting whta I consider decent Miles out of them, and they look very nice. Almost like a street/slick. They are the RT-615 falken azenis I was looking at!

Thanks for the info! I just saw them on dicounttire.com. I'll have to weigh the pro's and con's of all these tires, theres too many to choose from . I still have time, I'm looking at the spring maybe for the new tires, may have to do a clutch first so I have plenty of time to think about it.

You gotta link for it? I'm thinking right now either Bully or Exedy, I need something with a high WHP and WTQ capabilities as well.

eagle f1's are nice tires good ride, great bite, no sidewall slop, wet traction is ok dry traction is great, but overpriced imo.

the bfg everyone will say buy the kdw 2's because they look amazing. and they do but thats what they do best. they sidewall will slop in the corners if pushed hard they feel like a snow tire (maybe not that bad) their loud, they bite ok in the corners, wet traction was pretty damned good, dry traction was just as bad as stock pirellis and if you treat them right they last maybe just maybe 20-25k miles.

the toyos i have no experience with so no comment on those.

but the generals yes i am the only one who voted for them because most ppl have a pre concevied notion that general tires suck (they did but continental has rly turned it around) well you can throw that out the window. i will how ever say the the tirerack lists these as uhp summer tires. that they are not they are a uhp allseason tire. i called tirerack and got the im right your wrong bs from some paper pushin dick. if you go to generals website they are m+s uhp all season tires and in that class they are outstanding hands down the best allseason tire i have ever owned. great ride quality, very quiet, awesome in the rain, outstanding dry traction, virtually no sidewall slop for an allseason tire, great bite in the corners (have yet to break them loose in a corner) and in the snow they hold there own. however if you are looking for a dedicated summer tire this will top atleast two of the tires you have listed and still go in the snow for $80-100. best bang for the buck ever.

chevytech, thanks for the informative post on the tire options that I selected. The Generals are kinda like the "darkhorse" here. Not too popular, but could really be the best choice out there.

I also checked out the Nitto's and will also consider them, seems like there a few people that like them as well.

BlackSS05, I'll keep an eye out for your tire install, thanks!

Everyone talks about the KWD IIs, well I think The g-Force T/A KD is the best summer tire out there. Its much better than the KWD 2s. The Eagle F1s are the best over all performance tire but test prove The g-Force T/A KD has the best grip you can buy. The Eagle F1s your also going to pay a arm and leg for. If cash is not a thang then get the Eagles.

This tire selection process is getting more and more difficult with all this info. Thanks again for the continued input. I'll check out the Nitto's and the other BFG KD's.

i have had experience now in both dry and wet situations using the Exclaim UHP's and these things operate on par and better than the pirreli's they replaced. The easiest thing to notice a difference with is straight line accell wet or dry as the Exclaims win this category easily. Also in ride noise these things are eerely quiet and in a different universe than that of the pirreli tires.

In wet situations these things are awesome compared to the pirreli tires. They turn, stop and accell amazingly well and since they have a AA traction rating it is to be expected. In dry situations the performance is increased obviously which is great they perform just as well as the perreli tires when turning but destroy them in straight line accell and driving since they dont follow every single little crack in the road which is a plus cus you can drive with confidence knowing one hand on the wheel won't get you into a tug and pull fight.

I have yet to experience the tires at the track but based on my experience on the street I am sure that they will out perform the pirreli's by a landslide based on the excellent experience I have had on the street.

The General's definatly look nice and sound like they perform well for you. Thanks for the input. I think I have decided on going with the KDW's for few reasons. They seem as if they are well liked by many members. They have gotten great reviews by both TireRack and members who have them. Lastly, I can get a good price on them.
