Toyo T1-R or BFG KDW NT(2)

needing new tires, after getting some prices im between these 2 tires. the toyo t1r i can get in the stock 215/45r18 or the kdw nt (kdwII) in 225/40r18. the guy im dealing with is tellimg me the toyo is a better tire overall, however i see the treadwear is rated lower (i know you cant truly compare tires from different manufacturors). ive heard a lot of good things on the kdw nt and not much on the toyo t1r. im leaning to the kdw but am still on the fence.

thoughts, comments, opinions???

not a huge concern of mine, but still something to think about. some uhp tires melt off in no time, some last quite a while.

I've been running the T1R's and the wear is def. much better than the stock Pirellis...i had the front tires gone in no time with the PZeros, but the Toyos have lasted thru numerous burnouts and they handle quite well also

im unable to get nitto tires locally and its far to cost prohibitive to ship tires across the border into canada. my dad is service manager at a tire shop, i can get a decent price on toyo michilen and bfg. i ruled out michilen cause they are just to pricey, so im down to bfg or toyo

I would go with the BFG......partly because they're reviewed so well.......and partly because they look totally bad ass!

I like the KDW's. I had them on my Ion and Im about to buy a set for the Lexus. Great tire for daily driving, twisties and in the rain and thread wera is amazing. Not the greatest tire for the track though...
