whats to big or to much?

ok a few things i wanna ask and get some feed back.

1. Rims... how much is to much. this means size, spoke number, and lip, tire size. all of it

2. engine mods.... I always said go big or go home. but to many mods and you cant even drive the car all the time and i want to do this lol. should i shoot for a hp range or a track time?

3. Carbon Fiber... can you have to much..... i have a hood and want a trunk and i dont know if i should stop or keep going i seen cf doors and fenders but my car is yellow w/ black stripes and that might look funny

i'd say 18" 5 star style would be the the biggest and most spoke i'd go..

carbon fiber... not a big fan of to much, but i do like having just the hood..

and engine mods, its all about what u can afford, i like just having CAI, and full exhaust... serves me well, and its simple to install hah

I would go with 19s tops 20 is too much for me.

engine id say start off with making it sounds beast. then whatever your feeling from there, there could never been too much power lol.

cf i would say just hood and trunk, if i had the money i would do it to mine right now.

I'm not going any bigger then 18" rims. I like the 5 spoke, honsrtly I love my oem wheels. And for the engine, it's only a 4cycl fwd ecobox. Imma say stay with the gm stages, or equivalent. And bolt ons. But that's me, I bought it as a DD, so I'm not twin charging it or anything crazy. So it depends on what your car is used for. If you bought it as a drag car (dumb idea with a FWD) then go ***** to the walls with it. Lol. And for carbon fiber, I'm indifferent. I don't like over the top hoods, I like the oem carbon fiber hood best if I had to pick carbon fiber. A CB trunk looks decent also depending on color, but I find it unnecessary. So it depends on what you use the car for.

As mentioned in other forums, 20s are way too much. Too heavy and will lower track times. And yes, that's taking the wheel into account as well.

19s are still pushing it.

18s are ideal. I think anything chrome is a little too exuberant for our cars. Not sure why, it just stands out....too much. I'm lusting over EKM3s right now. (non hyper-silver ones)

Carbon Fiber = Weight Reduction = Good thing for a race car. If done right, Carbon fiber can actually look nice too.

I'm pretty sure that if you tune it right, with the right mods, everything up through TVS is DD. But again, that requires upgrades, and you can probably get about 320 or so out of that blower.

yes. i think you can have to much cf tho. not on all cars but a yellow cobalt with black stripes could have to much extra black. paint is always a option but it fell like a sin to paint cf lol. yeah 19's are pushing it but oh well they look good. and I think i would like to get something like eibach sway bars for the next performance mod. would that be a good idea? also what about strut bars?

depends on what type of car you have, like the cobalt ss, i wouldn't go anything bigger than 18's. i would run 17x9 front, and 17x8 on the rear. flame suit on for this setup.

If the pics in your gallery are YOUR car (with the large awkward body kit)...then carbon fiber, larger wheels, and engine mods are the least of your worries if you're trying to make it look nicer.

Yea, I just now looked at your pics, the car already hit the "too much" line, I myself don't like it.
