Where to get thin wall sockets?

Anyone here know where I can get a thin wall 19mm 3/8" or 1/2" drive deep well socket? I just purchased some rims and tires for autocrossing and my normal chrome Craftsmand sockets do not fit (3/8" or 1/2" drives). An old (not sure how old) Craftsman socket does fit, but it is not my socket and the guy doesn't let people borrow his tools.

Please help!

That's mainly an automotive tool AFAIK. I'd say check with craftsman online. If that yields no results you'll want to check www.snap-on.com , or www.matco.com

You could order online I'm sure.

I have checked Snap-On, and all they have are thin wall impacts (which are thicker than my chrome sockets).

I will check Matco and get back with you.

BTW: it is http://www.matcotools.com

Sent Matco an e-mail asking them about the outside dia. of their thin wall sockets. The Snap-On site tells you this info, and I believe their thin walls are too large.

I have a thin-wall impact socket that hasn't let me down. Its probably about the same O.D. as a Craftsman chrome socket or less. It might be a Mac brand socket, but more than likely Snap On or Matco.

Its a 3/4" 6-point deep socket in 1/2" drive. I'll check the brand and P/N when I get to my box tommorrow morning.

Perhaps the holes in your wheels aren't of a good size for a 3/4" lug? Maybe you should look at a slightly smaller metric lugnut with the same inner threads.... There are also "Tuner lugnut kits" from Gorilla available both online and at Discount Tire. Its a really small spline-drive set of lugnuts where the O.D. on the socket isn't much larger than the acorn on the lug.
