LNF different IC

I remember a thread where someone from ZZP mentioned getting a IC from a grandam/prix? so it was slightly smaller or didnt hang as low as the current IC for the lnf. Did anything come about from that?

zzp has a lnf IC now yes. They mentioned making a smaller one or one that didnt hang as low for the people worried about it.

mpx makes one that works good but I just want to check my options before I buy one.

grand prix and ams are NA or SC but I'm pulling from memory what the person from zzp said. I swear they said they could fit a IC from a 3800 to ours. So just checking.

yeah, you heard that correctly, One of the ZZP guys made a thread to see who might be interested after seeing the large amount of interest in the Treadstone IC group buy. Find the thread, it should be on the 08-10 LNF technical discussion.

They said they were looking at possibly making one for $202 +shipping?

Also it would be just like the Treadstone IC. two elbows that need to be clamped to the IC and CP. pretty sure. 22" long core. factory IC rated with solid end tanks.

ETS will make you one. All they need is a STOCK IC to make mounting tabs and end tanks. Here's an IC very similar but a little larger than stock:

Really?..I've read here that they're top notch.
What's the problem with them?

Well I don't know about ets but welded end tanks of other brands have been known to break at the seams/welds.

We are working on a lower cost solution. Design is completed, unit is in production. Should be available before too long.
