Zzp Lsj Pcm...???

hey guys, i supost to be getting dyno tuned next week, however it is expensive...so i was looking at the zzp lsj pcm. how exactly does this work? they send me a pcm and i send mine back?? and how much does that cost? i noticed it said refundable core charge but not sure what that means...and i cant go a few days without my pcm cuz its a daily driver....and how well does this work? im worried about the humidity and heat differences down here in texas going with a tune like this. what you guys think? any help would be great appreciated. thanks

what that core charge is, is when they send u a tuned pcm and expect you to return yours to them....they keep a chunk of change during the process in case you decide not to send them ur pcm, that way they wont be out for one!

yea cause its alot cheaper, and i know zzp has awesome products and do awesome work...im just worried about 2 things. 1.) how could they accurately tune for my methanol injection. 2.) the humidity and temperture is alot higher here, so im afraid the tuning my effect my car differently...

there is no way for them to tune correctly for meth so that one bad thing about a canned tune.... just give them a list of all your mods and explain where you live too so they can ajust accordingly thats what i did....

Well, they wont be able to do the meth....but as for temp, the computer trims the fuel based on it, so it would trim the scaled maps the same as it would if you drove your car from a 32 degree environment to a 100 degree one

i have the zzp pcm with my setup and eerything seems fine, car runs strong and it doesnt sputter of anything, pulls strong all the way up to 7200rpm.
Im probly going to get it dynotuned sometime, but until then, the zzp setup is a good budget friendly alternative.

Dont do it. Go out and get and get an actual tune from a reputable shop. I was dumb enough to get this and I had a AFR of 13 and I forget how much timing I was running(ask eDubs). Basicly DONT DO IT!

wait, the gas guage is backwards, my car stopped running today and it felt like it was out of gas, but the guage said it was full, so i thought it was broken and me and a friend pushed it to his house, is it possible that maybe my car was out of gas, since it looked like it was really really full?
