Painting Rims need help.

Alright so i wanna paint my stock rims. i wanna get them done professionally so i can be sure they will be good quality and wont chip easy. does anyone know of any shops in calgary that do this kind of work? and does anyone have ideas on pricing?

well on monday i should have a price on how much it will cost through the guys that we deal with at ****. so i will report back on monday

Dont pay any more than $200 to have them painted.... I had mine done n was quoted at $125-150

ya its $160 per rim. they do really good work and they're mobile so they come to your dealership.

Holly crap guys! Thats insane! I had mine done by a professional bodyshop... It was going to cost between $125-150 TOTAL.... But i know the owner of the bodyshop n he done them for free as a bday gift. Plus i can get them powdercoated for $50 a wheel.... I think you guys need to look around more.

I have my rims powdercoated black, red lip, and metal flake clear coat for $200 TOTAL

slightly off topic, but can you sand blast there rims without damaging them? if I used a light sand?.

I wouldn't... It will prolly pit them... Just use a sander, it will work just fine.

well i called around today to alberta wheel repair, they say about 160 per wheel and i also called screamin paint works and they said anywhere from 75-150 per wheel...

and cruisin , i wanna get it done right, i definatly admire your work in doing it yourself, its definatly more rewarding, but i dont have the time (it sounds like its taken you around a week) and the supplie nor knowledge to do it myself, also if i get a shop to do it i can get it custom colored and it will look really good as opposed to me doing 'custom'.

hey im not judgin, jsut giving a hard time, lol. I am wet sanding right now... lol. I am jsut testing this new wheel/mag paint. I am goign to try them for the summer see how they look, I am also in school right now and have free time out the wazoo and no money so.... its not really taking any time out of my day... lol. If they fail I will get them done professionally.

I sure hope so, everyone around here says it will look gay, but the photchops say otherwise. they saw the rims in stage 1 of paint and half of them changed there minds
