went to the dealer.. need opinions

well, ive been having a bad week with my car. after the snow storm we got here, somehow my passenger front tire came off the rim!! its not flat or anything and i got it rebalanced and mounted and havent had the problem since but i also had an issue with my windshield washer fluid resevoir.. the same day my tire came off the rim, i noticed a big puddle of windshield fluid on the ground so i made an appointment with a dealership so they can look at it. to make a long story short, supposedly, the low beam ballast on the passenger side that i mounted under the headlight bracket with jb-weld to the sheet metal, came loose and somehow made it under the headlight bracket and got the windshield wiper hose loose which drained all my fluid.. they ******* charged my 93 dollars and didnt even tell me they were going to on the phone when they called me!! now i thought if they have to charge you for non warrantied work, they need your approval before they can work on it? do i have an argument here or should i just leave it at that and dont go to that dealership anymore.. im just so aggravated they they would blame this **** on my aftermarket ballast..i just threw 93 dollars out the window basically.

If you take your car in for a problem, the tech has to diagnose it, you usually end up being responsible for the diag time if the problem ends up being a non warranty issue. Most shops charge an hour of their labor rate to just pull a car in the shop, not just dealerships.

If you signed for 0 dollars when you dropped the car off, they cannot charge you without authorization, its federal law, ill try and find it now.
