Could be a boost leak, or maybe the nuts on the wastegate actuator came loose. A p0299 code should pop up soon.

ahhh I have this same problem! I was only boosting 6.

this is werid. I just got off the phone and they said it hits 15 sometimes so they are ordering a new turbo actuator?

something about a bulletin saying they go bad sometimes.

That is actually a very helpful post. Narrows it down a little.

When I had my IC crack, that's the first thing they checked for and thought it might've been, so it's a known issue with the solenoid going out.

Maybe the solenoid got stuck and later freed itself. That would explain it.

i through a code of p0299 which is the wastegate

today i also through p0101 which is MAF sensor

I am taking it to the dealership tomorrow morning to have them fix it

well first off at low RPM the car stumbles so i figured injector? then i checked that the injectors are fine.... then my a/f gauge was reading 18? and the exhaust was crackling and shooting flames above average so finally i said f this i will go do a 3rd gear pull

i pin it and i instantly hear the turbo sound OUTSIDE the car so i knew it was a boost leak plus i was only boosting 15lb when i should have been at 22lb

so its holding 15 then BAM it slams on it face... but there was no loud noise so i knew the charge piping did not disconnect

but i check anyway and behold everything is still connected

i keep driving and throw the p0299 code so i put the car up for the day bring it out the next day and throw a p0101 code so im takin it into the dealership and preparing myself for an argument over warranty reasons

hopefully it will go my way

if the bottom nipple on the boost bypass actuator becomes blocked off, you will only boost 5psi. im not sure how it happened, but your bypass actuator is most likely the culprit. try swapping and see what happens

im goin to have them do all that stuff because i threw more then just one code

i set back to stock where i should be boosting around 15-18 and i am only boosting about 10-12 so there is still a leak and im thinking it is the spring or the actuator

w.e it is they are fixing it
