My car is drinking gas like crazy and is doing 130 miles or less when it is suppose to do 230,

It does smell alot like gas but i dont think it is leaking the smell come from the left side of the car close to the drives front weal.

 

you need to get that checked out man. Gas is a bitch to find because it evaps so quick, go from the fuel injectors and follow the fuel lines back looking for discoloration / gas smell if you cant find it you should have a mechanic check it out... any mods on your car? when did it start doing this?

 

If there was THAT much more gas going through the engine, you would be getting one huge cloud of black smoke out the exhaust and it likely would not idle, so I would lean towards a leak somewhere.

Given that gas burns VERY well, get that **** fixed asap. Don't want to be reading a thread about how your ride caught fire one day

 

My girls was dong the same thing it was pouring outta the top of the gas tank the main seal for the tank was bad had to replace it. now its all good and no leaks. it was leaking between the back tires so make sure u crawl back there and take a quick look just to make sure its not that first.
