Getting your tires changed with painted rims.

I've been wanting to paint my rims but just curious how it will affect it when I got to change out my tires. What is the best way to protect the paint when getting new tires or taking the tires off? Ill be buying new tires soon and I don't want to spend all this time to paint my rims just for them to crack when I take my car to the tire place.

the tire machine should never come in contact with the painted outside surface of your wheels. if it does. its the companies fault and they need to take action

99% of all local tire changing shops, will **** up the rims. See where the local guys go with aftermarket rims.

Only problem with that is like there aren't that many people that have aftermarket rims around here haha.

i ordered my rims online with tires, so they mounted them, and two of them had gouges in them when i unpacked them. grrrr. Just be very careful where you go.

I may leave a small polished ring around it just to make sure they don't peel the paint.
