painting wheels?
painting wheels?
i have adr 18's now and i also was given he factory 18" SS wheels and they are the polished ones. i am thinking about selling the ADR's and painting the stockers black and leaving some of the wheel polished. anyone have any tips/trick/pics for this?
This may sound a little weird but I just painted some polished wheels today. My brother has a T100 and I painted them the same as mine, matte black. I've painted several sets and the main factor seems to be making sure the wheels are clean debris free. If you sand them down, just make sure to use a high power degreaser and lots of water to clean them. Other than that is making sure the temp is 70 or above.
The only thing i can think of is when you do this.
make SURE You remove your tire from the rim, alot of people dont and they will see that their paint will chip when installing there tires, the reason why they chip is because the is now a lip around the edge of the rim.
so make sure tire is off and you spray over and into the inside of the rim.
