Just heard the bad news.

Well, I was trying to put my order in and apparently the dealership said the Recaros are not available. I'm not sure if this is true or not because I called another dealership and they said it was available, however, I cannot get the deal that I would be getting from this dealership from them...

I'm wondering the following:

What is the FASTEST and EASIEST way for me to obtain Recaro seats to put in my car? How much would it cost?

Thanks!

Junk yard. The SSs are starting to show up in them now. Several, unfortunatly, are from people on here. That's what I plan on doing too.

wont most of those be banged up and trashy, if they are even there? I'm guessing they will be fairly hard to find and most ppl would take them out anyway...

Is there anyway I can just buy them? lol

the recaros I beleive retail for $2500 USD. For two seats ! That is freaking ridiculous. GM was smart to ditch them. If you are broad chested or heavier than 165 lbs they are very uncomfortable after about 2 hours of driving.

I'm broad chested, I weigh about 225 (muscle) and I'm 6'4" -- however, I'm sure they are more comfortable than the stock seats.. I don't even see these for sale, where would you go about buying them?

Anyhow, if they arent available I have 2 options...

Get a new 06 with the package,
or Get a new 07 without the package, and if I want buy some seats...

what do you guys think?

sit in them for a couple of hours. the side bolsters get really , really annoying. Not nearly as bad as the srt-4 seats though. I am 6' 2" 206 so given your height we are about the same body style. If you find them comfortable you get annoyed less easily than I do.

my friends str4 has the ACR seats in them, and they are REALLY REALLY tight around the shoulders. luckily he only weighs about 135ish. i however am about 170.. and they are quite ..umm.. cozy.

If you go to a junkyard, the worse shape most recaros will be in is powder from the airbag deploying. Most "salvage title" cars just have engine damage or body damage, inside should be fine.

alright, well should I go for an 07 without it, or a 06 with it? I really like the steering wheel and headunit, as well as the rims, but I also like the seats a lot.. is there any recommendation you guys can give>? What would you guys recommend for seats if I were to buy new ones?

Thanks

I would say 07 just for the fact that the car would of been out for 2 years. You will have way less probelms than us sorry 05 guys do and some 06 guys.

I'm a larger fella myself! I find my Recaros more comfortable than the others! Maybe just my opinion!
