Whats the diffrence in the blue paint jobs between the '05 and '07 SS models

 

I know there's a lazer blue, and i think a regal blue? Or something like that. There are 2 kinds of blue cobalts though, one of the type of blue's was a limited time thing i believe.

 

ive heard arival blue idk tho. does any 1 have pics to compare?

 

The 07's have what's called an Electric Blue. It changes between a blue and purple tone depending on the light and has a metal flake to it. I believe the 05's where a Laser Blue. I have a couple pics of mine floating around here somewhere if you wanna check em out. Should be able to check out my profile or garage.

 

ARIVAL!!! that's it, man where the hell did i get regal from? Oh well. Yeah that's the other blue.

 

There are actually 3 different blues.. Laser, Arrival, and Electric which was started in 07. Not sure how many of the Electric blues there are though. I have one and have not seen another like it as of yet.

 

05 was arrival blue and 06 / 07 are laser blue

 

07 may still have the laser blue as an option, but there is also an Electric blue. I own one.

 

so the electric blue was the one that was a limited edition color?

 

Not too sure, it is possible. I have yet to see another electric blue cobalt..Nice color though, if i do say so myself.

I've not seen this "electric" blue... but the '05s were Arrival, which is a nice bright blue, and the '06s are Laser, which is a metallic blue/purple type of thing...

I really like Arrival better...

 

i have a laser blue SS... it's a beautiful color!
Arrival blue is ok, but by 2005, it was on everything!

Arrival blue was 05. 06 is laser blue, 07 is electric blue.

I have the laser blue, its a darker blue than the arrival. I didnt see much a difference between the laser and the electric, at least not by judging by your pics 1gmfanatik

i think lazer looks better then the other, the other 1 is way too purple. o well im going black w/ blue interior so w/e

I'm not too sure about how the Laser Blue looks in person, but I do have another pic posted of the Metal Flake in the paint job. That is prob. one of my biggest sellers on the color.

 

i've got a laser blue 07 SS. The window sticker even says 'laser blue'...

Maybe he's on to something with it being a limited color. Which would explain the Laser blue still being on some of the other 07's. Either way, I love blue.
