Some take just the right conditions to go ready. I can look that one up in a few.

OK here goes:
  1. Three or more drive cycles with a minimum of 17 hours between cycles
  2. The difference between the startup engine coolant temperature (ECT) and the startup intake air temperature (IAT) is less than 8 degrees C (14.4F)
  3. The barometric pressure (BARO) is more than 74 kPa
  4. The startup ECT is between 4-30 degrees C (39-86F)
  5. The startup IAT is between 4-30 degrees C (39-86F)
  6. The fuel level is between 15-85 percent
  7. The battery voltage is between 10-18 volts
  8. The estimated ambient tmeperature at the end of this drive cycle is between 2-32 degrees C (36-89F)
  9. The shutdown ECT is 70 degrees C (158F) or higher
  10. A refueling event is not detected
Those are the conditions necessary for the I/M to set ready assuming the vehicle passes the EVAP tests of course.
