Paint calipers/drums glossy black?

hey, i got a red LS. I just got motegi chroms rims, i'll post pics maybe tomorrow. I want to paint the calipers and drums either red or black, but i'm thinkin the red drum would look dumb. what do you guys think about paintin them a glossy black color? Think it would look good on the red car with chrome rims.

I have the same exact problem I can't decide between red or black paint, or if i should paint the drums too. I think if i went with black I'd do both but if i went with red I'd probably just do the calipers.

Yeah, if you don't want to get any grief from anyone, black is a really good color to go with on the drums.

I painted mine black (although I did my calipers black, too) and I think it made a huge difference. I didn't really want to show off my drums, which is why I didn't go with color, but do whatever you feel like. It's your car, who cares what anyone else thinks?

I would definitely go with red calipers on a red car. That's what I did. I'm not a big fan of the red Dupli Color caliper kit though; my friend used high temp paint from Lowe's on mine and it matches the victory red a lot more than the Dupli Color paint does.

yeah man i think i am gonna do the same thing. let me know how it goes, i just gotta wait for it to warm up around here then ill be at it. I have no idea if GM makes color matching high temp paint, but personally im not too worried about it, from what ive seen the paint in kits still looks good. i have the duplicolor kit just chillen in my room waiting for a warm day. those drum brakes suck. lol
