Well i want to install a water temp gauge and the only way is putting a sender in the hose. Does anyone have a how-to/pics on how to drain the coolent and after its drained, can i just readd what i drained to the tank under the hood?

Ok well i figured out how to drain it..witht eh drain plug on the buttom of the radiator but is it ok to poor what i drain back into the system? its only got 40k on it?

No one has ever changed there fluid....thats odd

dont mix the pink coolant (Dex-cool) with the geen stuff thats bad... make sure you re fill it with the pink stuff

Like mentioned above, don't mix types.

so i can go to like walmart and jsut grab a bottle of pink stuff and use the whole bottle till it fills it up to the line in the tank right.

If you are going to do that than just make sure you are grabbing something that is 50/50. ( 50% coolant and 50% water) Or mix it your self.

To do that grab a large clear water container and add the desired mix of coolant and water. I would not put more than 50% coolant. More water = better cooling.....but worse in the winter. I use about 25% coolant, 70% water, and than the rest redline water wetter.

Anyway...as far as topping it off....fill the whole radiator than let it run a till it's all warmed up. THat is when the fans will kick in and the exchange from the radiator to the engine will take place. Than check the level again....******IMPORTANT***** DON'T OPEN CAP TILL IT HAS COOLED OFF***** Check level and than check the overflow bottle.

No. You simply fill it.

Do i just fill the coolant tank to the top? then start up? no need to get air out of it?

Basically, correct. There always is a little air in the top of the radiator, and its not a problem. Use the instruction on the bottle. I believe it will tell you to top it off, start the engine and let it run, then top it off again.
